You shared a lot of great examples about vocabulary instruction 'how to's'. I appreciated the more important examples connecting to life experiences and having children come up with synonyms. Most importantly, parents need to daily share vocabulary in context discussions for transferability. I would love for you to review my new beginning reading program focusing on reading comprehension and blending pre-emergent reading, beginning writing, and focusing on the language aspect of reading. Please let me know if you would be interested. Erika Burton, Ph.D. Stepping Stones Together- Founder http://www.steppingstonestogether.com
