I would like to point out that the effectiveness reviews of reading programs that Dr. Slavin mentions can be found on the Best Evidence Encyclopedia website, which houses reviews on K-12 reading, math, and school reform programs. Also, Dr. Slavin also presents on using evidence of effectiveness to improve student achievement in periodic two-day institutes hosted by the Johns Hopkins University School of Education's Center for Data-Driven Reform in Education (www.cddre.org).
